How does MonaLisa Touch work?
MonaLisa Touch works with a Fractional CO2 Laser, similar to a laser used on the face. The CO2 laser is inserted into the vagina to stimulate collagen growth in the walls of the vagina. The tissue reacts by making new blood vessels, collagen, glycogen, elastin, moisture, and hydration.
Does the MonaLisa Touch treatment hurt?
MonaLisa Touch is virtually painless and requires no numbing creams, anesthesia or pain medication. While some patients may experience a small amount of vibration from the machine, most experience no discomfort.
How long does the MonaLisa Touch treatment take?
At Gyn Cancer & Pelvic Surgery, you can be in and out of our office in less than 30 minutes. For optimal results, the in-office treatment involves 3 visits, scheduled 12-16 weeks apart. Each treatment lasts only 5-10 minutes.
What are the results?
Most women, 70% – 90%, see results after the first treatment with continued and significant improvements over the next 2 treatments. The benefits last a year or longer, with a single annual treatment for maintenance thereafter.
