Introducing Dr.Stephenson!

GCPS is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Ruth Stephenson to our staff. Dr. Stephenson has an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the Rochester Institute of Technology and her medical degree from NYCOM. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center where she was trained and mentored by Drs. Denehy and Taylor. She then completed her fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California-Davis and has returned to New Jersey to join her mentors.

Throughout her training she has participated in both clinical and basic science research and spent a year in a nanotechnology lab investigating novel therapeutics for ovarian cancer. She performs specialized procedures in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery for appropriate patients with gynecologic cancers or complex gynecologic conditions. She also has an interest in health and wellness counseling and education for patients undergoing cancer therapy. Learn more about Dr.Stephenson here.
